⭐️ I came up with the idea of mum and baby fitness classes early on in my pregnancy with Thomas. I have been into fitness for a while, and I worried that once I had my baby, I wouldn’t be able to go to the gym or keep fit as there would be no one to look after my baby. It seemed a great idea to be able to take my baby along to a fitness class. I knew classes like these existed already, but there was nothing in my local area.
⭐️ I also struggled to find any pregnancy-specific fitness classes, aside from Yoga and Swimming in my area which frustrated me as I wanted to be able to keep fit throughout my pregnancy but also worried about my limitations.
⭐️ It started as a bit of a pipedream until I was made redundant in August 2019, while on maternity leave. The thought of going for job interviews filled me with dread, and I struggled to find any suitable part-time positions. I took the plunge and used my redundancy pay-out to get my qualifications and pursue a career in fitness.
⭐️ Fast-forward six months to March 2020, and I was qualified, had my branding and secured a couple of venues to teach my classes from. The world was then turned upside down by the Covid-19 pandemic, and I found myself having to adapt to this ‘new normal’. I decided to launch online classes which can be done from the safety and comfort of your own home.
⭐️ I then went ahead with gym classes from August 2020 and haven’t looked back since. Please follow my blog and social media pages for helpful advice, recipes, and mini workouts to inspire mums and mums to be to keep fit and healthy.
